If you arrive by airplane and cannot or dare not drive to the location there is a very good way to get there by public transport.
If you follow the next suggestion it will get you there.
1. Take a local tram from Edinburgh Airport to Edinburgh Gateway. This should not take more then 10 to 15 minutes ( 3rd stop ) .
2. Once at Edinburgh Gateway, first follow the National Rail signs, then onwards to Scotrail. If in doubt ask locally.
3. Now get yourself a ticket on the train to "LEVEN". You can download a Scotrail App on your phone and buy tickets that way. It's quite easy or you buy tickets at the stations from the ticket-booth ( machine ) .
4. When on the train, get out at Burntisland Station. Upon leaving the station you will need to walk to Allen Court to get a bus to the park. Once at Allen Court take Bus 7 towards Kirkcaldy. Ask the driver to notify you when to get out. Should be the 8th stop.
At the Edinburgh Airport there are also opportunities to get a taxi to the Hotel / Caravan Park. The drive is about 35 minutes.
There are various websites and apps that can offer travel and cabs or alike. Best use services that score well. Do not be tempted to get a taxi by people coming up to you offering special rates.
If you feel brave, then you may also rent a car to get about while in Scotland. It's a very nice way to see Scotland and get around.
Keep in mind though that in Scotland they drive on the LEFT.
Also I would suggest to get an Automatic Car as the steering wheel will be on the RIGHT of the car and your stick-shift will be in your left-hand.
Those from EU or US will perhaps have some difficulty with this.
Best rent your car from reputable services, which can be found in and around the airport.
