Well, if anything then this was quite the musical episode with Roger singing a galelic tune, which by the way, was written by the bard we all know and love Gillebride MacMillan.
I am somewhat unsure about how the episode relates to any waters as we also have seen claire being captured by the Red Coats , who now have a new leader, none other than Clan Chief Simon Fraser . That's an odd one to encounter. Could hear his Scottish accent somewhat though.
Sadly Walter died but this was to be foreseen, seeing his injuries and the era this all played.
Shortly discussed was the blue sheen that Bree had encountered in the tunnels. Roger was quick to make the assumption that earth lines would interconnect the stone circles.
So sometimes things still feel somewhat hastened to me....I haven't read the book ( still not sorry ) , so if anyone that has can shed some light on this if the books also run through this all like a freight train in the night...
Then, last news : Just In :
Sinéad O'Connor has died today at the age of 56 I believe. She's known since the 80's for her mostly controvesial songs and her voice - surely what we heard lately - is also quite fitting with her. Chances are indeed that the Outlander Theme Song she sang was one of the last songs she ever did....makes you wonder and kinda appreciate the song a little more than we did.
A new episode brings loads and loads of new experiences.
Firstly we get to see who actually killed Malva and why ?
Something that I did not see coming and viewed in the timeframe it all plays, it is known that indeed things, as described by the murderer, are taking place. I say this in covered terms as I don’t want to spoil the surprise for those that still have to see it. Believe me you’ll be amazed.
Further on in the episode we see and old acquaintance pop up who’s bringing along his son.
I think you can guess who it is 🙂 A hint…his son isn’t actually his son as he did not produce the lad.
Actually Jamie is his biological farther. A heart-tearing agreement is made between these two old friends on behalf of the son. How that will work out in the future needs to be seen.
Then there is the big surprise as Amanda joins the family.
Who she is and where she came from….go soo … you’ll love her.
Sadly things with Amanda aren’t all fun and happiness as there is a big issue with Amanda.
Now go grab your hankies - tear jerking section ahead - as Roger, Bree, Demmy and Amanda are forced to go through the Stones and have to leave Jamie and Claire behind.
As if that wasn’t enough to get the ol’ heart in the highest gear…the ending …well let’s say it ends on a sheer bombshell of an event. Go See for yourself but don't say I didn't warn you.
The recent post from Diana to Josh who apparently was falling to pieces on Episode 2, made me expect loads and loads of horrific things. Although the episode was yet another strong one and was clearly aiming at leaving America and heading back to Scotland, I found it to be slightly rushed but still correct.
It showed all the intrinsics of leaving one's home...or what's left of it anyway...and leaving loved ones behind. Haven't we all been in that situation at least once in our lives ? It felt to me as the " end of an era" and I am curious to see what will be Episode 4. Cannae wait 🙂
Glad we're back - in the series that is - in bonnie Scotland, been away too long. Funny part in this episode was the part where Roger and Bree get the visit from the Real-Estate Agent offering them Lallybroch.
So how'd put up real money to actually buy Lallybroch ? I would...if I had any...
Well, there I was...just realizing that I had completely forgotten to write up about S7E4. This episode felt like another trainride through the books. I cannot judge as I still haven't read them, mainly due to the fact that I don't have any...probably the main reason 🙂
What stuck the most with me was the hillarious bump-up in the street between Tom and Clair and Tom grabbing his chance in all the consternation to smack one up to Claire , as in an attempt of Now Or Never. I found it very funny and the face that Claire made when it happened.
Okay, I know it's all scripted and rehearsed but lord they must have had their fun with those takes, don't you think ?
The episode continues giving up a first glance at Jamie and Claire possibly moving back to Scotland...only to have that idea droven into the ground in the last minutes of the episode...how will this continue ???
Well, color me timber but this had me wondering if Outlander wound be going East towards Singapore . Guess that didn't happen, in the end there was only a short mentioning buy Claire about something that happened in Singapore. Bit weird to use that single part for the title.
I guess the more appropriate title might have been " The Blue Sheen" as we - alongside Bree - encounter a weird blue cloud of gas or....what ? Safe to say that this is a cliffhanger for us all.
I do love that I noticed that Lallybroch, ( Castle Midhope ) has not been used fully but only the lefthand side ( kitchen ) in the series. I recall a recend sharing by Andy the Highlander as well as some by the great Laird Of LallyBroch James Gourlay who showed us the insides of the old derelict castle.
Now take those things in mind and watch the last few minutes of this episode again and you will see that some items that were seen in the special that our friends presented to a handful of lucky people, has many similarities. I even recall that the little red light in the hall in the Series was there as well.
May be I am seeing thins, going bananas, I dunno, I just know it was yet another great episode to watch and I will be looking out for the next one....even though that will bring us one step closer to the end of this season...mixed feelings eh !
